Having come out of a pretty hard core fundamentalist tradition, I've been actively seeking an authentic form of Christianity for a few years now. I found Benjamin's blog and found a lot of what he said to be relevant and thought provoking. While I didn't agree with him (or anyone) 100% of the time, I was so grateful to have found someone who had emerged from fundamentalism and still believed in Jesus. This book further solidified that there *was* a way to believe in the radical love of Jesus and the scandalous grace of God. I have no eloquent pieces of advice, except for - if you're struggling to maintain spirituality in a society that is overrun by nationalism, greed and a thirst for power all masked as being "Christian values" - read this book. There is hope for Christianity. That hope is the undiluted message of Jesus.Product details

Just finished reading this book today. SO in love! I first came upon Benjamin's writing about eight months ago during the beginning of my faith shift. I had felt for quite some time that my religious beliefs up until that point were not constant with my conscience and Benjamin put the cherry on top of my ice cream with this book. Now I can eat my ice cream and enjoy it too!
This is the book that started it all for me- my journey out of toxic fundamentalism and into the freedom of an undiluted understanding of Jesus. Reading this really opened my eyes to how completely American culture and political systems have twisted Jesus into their own image. I also really resonated with the author's struggles throughout his spiritual journey. Whether I was nodding my head in agreement or being challenged by new ideas, I can't tell you how refreshing it is to realize that you aren't alone in your faith shift. I highly recommend this radically honest book for yourself and anyone else in your life who is searching for something more.
If you have enjoyed reading Corey's blog and have often wished that a particular post could be longer, deeper, and more richly detailed, then here is your book. Undiluted is an encouraging and inspiring account of the life of faith within the emerging Christian paradigm. The book is a challenging and fascinating look at the journey from a reductionist and fundamentalist faith to a vibrant life as a devoted follower of Jesus Christ alone. Highly recommended.

One of the best, life-changing books I’ve read. BLC offers so many insights and truths that reveal a purer Jesus than the Jesus I grew up with in church. Not a long book but I kept having to put it down to let these truths settle in more deeply. A must-read.
Thoughtful and heartfelt with strong points on engaging Christianity as a movement of faith rather than the practice of institutional religion. You'll find his points resonate with the true spirit of Jesus in marked contrast to many assumptions of everyday Christians about what it means to be a faithful disciple of Jesus. He points the reader away from common religious themes and traps in order to take a different viewpoint. The points were on target, but the writing needed some editorial work. Without getting too picky (e.g. orientate is not a word), the author would have done better to use more examples to ground his points in common realities. Instead, the points get dragged out, filling pages with repetition, extending essay length ideas into book chapters. It seems to be a first work and a good one in that context. As the author takes more time, encounters more experience, and ages like good wine, his ideas and style will likely become more seasoned and expansive. The best is yet to come.
wow, what a liberating book. this is truly how to follow christ. You follow what Jesus said to do. The american so called christains have become anything but christains. They have become this extreme right wing, hateful people. This has issue of love etc has been in my heart for a while. SInce the election, where the so call christains churches have become trump rallies, i had to leave my church due to the flock who are hateful toward immigrants etc. They feel they are truly christians, but they are not. They are just part of a club.In fact, the church i was attending had a security group allowed to carry guns in church ! i have been told that i need to follow trump because of his chrsitain values ? not sure of his values , but its not christain. I have been told that i am not christain because i am not a republican. boy are they lost. i want to follow my lord and not a hypercite. Thank you for this great book.
I am one of those who believe we have lost our way in our Christian world. Jesus embraced the very people we are trying to exclude and or judge. I think this author does a commendable job of defining how I think many of us feel. I believe that Jesus was less than fond of all of the Hebrew Laws and provided the very basic tenet for our faith - "Love God above all others" and "Love thy neighbor as thyself." Our migration from that to where we are today suits the needs of specific human beings, not all.
The author is a recovering fundamentalist and has spent a lot of time in theological training and education. And it shows. All of it.
